Eventually CSKA Moscow will be defeated, but not this week. The defending champions remain unbeaten for a 6-0 record after getting the 91-90 win over Real Madrid.

The keys were the majestic Nando De Colo performance with 28 points (8/10 FG) and the second period during which CSKA Moscow with a partial 32-12 score took control of the game. The hosts had a 49-38 half time lead and despite Real Madrid‘s come back, they managed not to lose it until the end.

The Spaniards thanks to a 8-0 run made it a six points game in the third quarter (59-53), they entered the last period trailing by three (73-70) and with less than six minutes left they cut the lead of CSKA Moscow to four (81-77). They were close until the end and with 26 seconds on the clock they managed to finally make it a one point game (87-86).

De Colo was fouled, he made his free throws (89-86) and Real Madrid had the ball and 24 seconds. Andres Nocioni tried to make a three and also create contact in order to get the foul call. He did not succeed in either but the game was not over. The two teams exchanging free throws (91-88) and Real Madrid had one last chance in a three seconds possesion after a turnover by De Colo. Sergio Llull who finished the game with 21 points missed the three and a tip in at the buzzer by Jonas Maciulis couldn’t change anything.
