Lokomotiv Kuban officially announced Sasa Obradovic as the team’s new head coach. The Serbian coach is succeeding Fotis Katsikaris who parted ways with the club after a series of unsuccessful results.

Obradovic has been at the helm of Alba Berlin for the four previous season, winning the German cup in 2013, 2014 and 2016.

“It’s a big step forward in my career to be here in Krasnodar, in one of the best clubs in Europe,” said Obradovic in his new team’s official website. “Of course I feel the pressure because this is a challenge for me. But I accept it with optimism. I’m happy to be here and I hope to be able to change our game, to make a better team. I’m not saying that the previous coach didn’t deliver, but I will have a different approach.”
