Olympiacos is hosting Barcelona on Wednesday for Day 7 of the Euroleague regular season and this game marks the return of a familiar face to “Peace and Friendship” arena in Piraeus.

From Summer 2012 to Autumn 2014, Blaugrana head coach Giorgos Bartzokas was at the helm of Olympiacos. During his tenure in the Reds’ bench, he led the team to the 2013 Euroleague title, the third in the franchise’s history, becoming the first Greek coach to win the competition’s crown.

In light of the match vs Barcelona, the Greek club will honor Bartzokas for his great contribution to the team’s successes. After all, Olympiacos has done the same in other related occasions with players and coaches that have written history with the team.
