Victor Rudd displayed a rather unflattering behavior during the EuroLeague game between Unics Kazan and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Russia and yesterday, he apologized for his actions.

Near the mid of the fourth quarter, with the score 61 – 63 the American forward of Maccabi got angry after not being passed the ball during one of his team’s offensive plays. He then got completely indifferent to everything that was taking place on the floor, taking a… stroll and practically leaving the team to complete the attack with four players instead of five. He didn’t appear exactly dedicated on the other end as well.

You can watch the full video of the incident here.

As the Israeli club announced, the above sequence was shown during the team’ practice ahead of the Winner League derby against Hapoel Jerusalem. After the screening, Rudd apologized to his teammates in the locker rooms.

“I want to apologize to the team, management, owners and of course, the fans. I was determined to win the game and in the heat of the moment I acted stupid because of my strong desire to win. This demonstrated a lack of respect for my teammates and the club of Maccabi Tel Aviv for which I’m really happy and proud to play,” said Rudd.
