DJ Cooper’s registered his second triple-double of the season but that didn’t prevent Orthez from getting beaten hands down by Chalon/Saone on the road.

The American guard scored 16 points, dished 11 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds but, as one can tell by looking at the final score, his team’s problem wasn’t bucket making, but defending their territory.

With this result, Orthez (8-2)  fell to the third place of the standings, while Chalon/Saone (9-1) found the opportunity to climb at the second position, where Nanterre (9-1) also stands having easily defeated Antibes (3-7) away from home.

Monaco (9-1) still watches all other teams from the first place of the standings, after narrowly escaping Le Portel (3-7) thanks to Zach Wright and key contribution by newcomer John Bryant (12 points, 5 rebounds).

Reigning champs Villeurbanne (5-5) left Dijon victorious while Strasbourg (5-5) continues improving after Vincent Collet’s return, downing Nancy (2-8) this time, with considerable ease.
