After the loss to Anadolu Efes earlier this week and with its sights on the game against Brose Bamberg on Wednesday, Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Haifa 81-83, with Sonny Weems sealing the win at a dramatic finale! The visitors improved their Israeli league record to 8-1.
Victor Rudd led the winners with 21 points, Sylven Landsberg added 13 and Andrew Goudelock contributed 11.
Haifa managed to get a double-digit lead in the first half (24-34), though the visitors made their comeback eventually. Sonny Weems scored a decisive basket for Maccabi in the final seconds, then Haifa couldn’t do much with 0.4 seconds left on the shotclock.
