Zeljko Obradovic‘s new contract extension was presented today with the Serbian coach speaking about the ambitions of Fenerbahce.
The club is already considered a powerhouse in the Euroleague, however the point is also to win titles. That’s why Obradovic spoke not only about the obvious goals of the team, but also about his relationship with the club: “The contract is important, but the trust between us is more important. I promised that I would live the Ülker arena like it’s my house”.
Fenerbahce‘s president Aziz Yildirim had only good things to say about his coach: “Obradovic is a name that adds character and personality to our game and we are happy to work with Obradovic him. We closed the deal in five minutes. You can’t buy some things with money”. Yildrim added that with a name sponsor next season, the club could have an even bigger bugdet for the basketball section.
Obradovic was also asked about the recent rumor that Fenerbahce may be interested in signing Nicolo Melli from Brose Bamberg. “It is just a rumor, this is the first time that I have heard this name”, was the reaction of Fenerbahce’s coach.
