Day 12 of the Spanish league turned into a surprise for Barcelona, that fell to Andorra on the road with 87-80. Georgios Bartzokas’ team holds a 8-3 record in the league’s standings, while the hosts improved to 7-4.

With David Jelinek giving pace to Andorra with his 18 points, the hosts managed to slip away with the win after dominating Barcelona in the final period. With 27 scored only in the final quarter, it was obvious that the visitors had a lot of work to do in defense.

For Barcelona, Ante Tomic scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while Tyrese Rice had 14.

On the other hand, Baskonia had it easy in the end at home against Estudiantes and prevailed 82-77. Led by Rodrigues Beaubois’ incredible 31-point performance, the hosts improved their record to 8-4, leaving Estudiantes at 4-7.

Adam Hanga contributed 11 points to his team’s win and Shane Larkin added 10 more.

With less than 3 minutes left in the game, Estudiantes was up by one. Soon enough, Baskonia covered the deficit and with a couple of free throws by Dip and Shengelia, the team could seal the win.
