Scottie Wilbekin dropped a 23 points season-high leading Darussafaka Dogus to a comfortable 87 – 74 victory over Pinar Karsiyaka in Istanbul, its eighth in 11 games of the Turkish Basketball Super League.

Meanwhile the team from Izmir fell to a 6-5 record, increasing its distance from the top teams of the standings, despite the efforts of Mateusz Ponitka (17 points), Dajuan Summers (16 points, 7 rebounds) and a fine debut by Mike Green (12 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds).

After getting a 23 – 15 advance in the first quarter, David Blatt’s squad made its point clear by stepping ahead with 17, 49 – 32 at halftime. The hosts had no problem preserving (or sometimes slightly increasing) this lead for the remainder of the game, while Pinar Karsiyaka didn’t manage to react, shooting poorly from the perimeter (6/24).

Apart from Wilbekin, Adrien Moerman did many jobs on the floor finishing with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Brad Wanamaker added 12 and Semih Erden 10 plus 7 rebounds.
