Alessandro Gentile arrived on Tuesday in Athens and he didn’t hide his ambition to make Panathinaikos his new home, speaking to the Greek press in the airport.
Gentile was just a kid when his father, Nando, was playing for the Greens and now he wants to follow the same tradition: “It was a dream for me. It is unbelievable that I come here again after so many years. I hope to follow in the footsteps of my father. I am ready to give whatever the team wants, help step by step and give what may be lacking”.
As for his future, he didn’t hide his intention to stay in Athens for long: “I had enough experiences, victories and titles with Milano. It was time for a change and it was the right time and the right place to make a fresh start. I was a fan of Panathinaikos since childhood. I want to be here for more than six months. I have a contract with Milano, but of course I want to be here for a long time. We will talk again in the summer”.
