Cedi Osman dropped 19 points (eight in the fourth quarter) and grabbed 5 rebounds leading Anadolu Efes to a 78 – 72 victory over Darussafaka Dogus in the Istanbul derby that closed the 12th Gameday of the Turkish Basketball Super League.

This win keeps Velimir Perasovic‘s squad at the first place of the standings with a 11 – 1 record while Dacka remains fourth at 8 – 4, tied with Galatasaray.

Apart from the decisive action by Osman, Derrick Brown (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Tyler Honeycutt (10 points, 10 rebounds) provided some double-double contribution for the hosts. For the losing side, Scottie Wilbekin scored 18 points and Will Clyburn added 17 plus 8 rebounds.

The match was an intense, hard battle, fitting of the two squads’ caliber and showcasing their iron will to win. Near the end, Efes took a small, yet important advantage and was accurate enough from the free throw line during crunch hour to secure its position until the final horn sounded.
