Valencia almost completely gave up a 15-point lead against Alba Berlin but ultimately managed to win the game

Valencia almost completely gave up a 15-point lead against Alba Berlin but ultimately managed to take a 85 – 80 victory and remain undefeated in the EuroCup Top 16. This was the second defeat for the German team in Group H.

The “Bats” were leading 75 – 60 three minutes into the fourth quarter but Alba didn’t give up, making a 3 – 17 partial score that brought them to a one-possession distance, 80 – 7 7 with 1:47 to go.

Coach Caki’s players had a big opportunity then to tie the match but with the score 82 – 80 and about 15 seconds left, Tony Gaffney didn’t connect to the basket. Valencia was goof in its free-throw attempts and proceeded to win the match.

Bojan Dubljevic was the top performer for the hosts with 15 points and 8 rebounds while Fernando San Emeterio added 13 and Rafa Martinez 12 plus 4 assists.

From Alba’s side Dragan Milosavljevic, Ergin Atsur and Elmedin Kikanovic dropped 12 points apiece.
