Adam Waczynski dropped 17 points with 5/6 three-pointers helping Unicaja Malaga grab a 73 – 59 victory over Cedevita. The Spanish team doubled its EuroCup Top 16 victories while its opponents remain winless in Group H.

Apart from the Polish sharpshooter who took care of scoring business, Malaga put some rock-solid defensive handiwork on the table, especially in the second half.

Coach Plaza’s players allowed their opponents to score only 26 points after the break, placing what was previously a close match (36 – 33 at halftime) under their control.

Only Ryan Boatright (19 points, 7 turnovers) and Rashad James (16 points) were of actual threat to Malaga. Apart from Waczynski, Nemanja Nedovic had 12 points and 7 assists (to make up for his 6 turnovers) and Kyle Fogg 11 points plus 6 rebounds for the winning side.
