Melih Mahmutoglu scored 16 points and Ahmet Duverioglu posted a double-double of 10 points plus 10 rebounds leading Fenerbahce to a 89 – 76 victory over Ted Ankara for the Turkish Basketball Super League.
This result keeps the defending champs at the top spot of the standings with a 13 – 2 record while the team from Ankara remains winless.
The trio of Shannon Shorter (22 poins, 8 rebounds, 6 assists), Devin Thomas (19 points, 9 rebounds) and Dominique Morrison (19 points) contributed the lot for the losing side.
Coach Zeljko Obradovic implemented heavy rotation ahead of a demanding two-game EuroLeague week giving time to players like Arna Egehan and Berk Ugurlu who dropped 9 points each. The latter also dished out 7 assists.
