It took him some time, but finally Amare Stoudemire has found his real self and that’s bad news for every other team in Eurocup.

The American big man had a Eurocup career best 26 points and 9 rebounds for a total ranking of 31, Curtis Jerrells added 22 points and Hapoel Jerusalem got the 97-81 win over Zenit St. Petersburg. Ironically the previous euro-career high of Amare was registered last week, it was 22 points and the opponent was Zenit St. Petersburg on the road. The hosts led even by 23 points (93-70) in a game that after a competitive first quarter (19-17) was a one sided affair.

Ryan Toolson scored 27 points for the guests, Sergey Karasev added 12 points, but they didn’t have any other help, as Zenit had now a 2-2 record and the second place in Top16’s group G standings and Hapoel is on top with a 3-1 record and is one step away from the quarterfinals.
