Nando De Colo was the leading scorer for the winners, with 18 points and 4 rebounds and Cory Higgins followed with 10.
Dimitris Itoudis’ team struggled against their opponents but with an outbreak in the final period the hosts were able to grab the win.
CSKA had a 9-point lead halfway through the second period (29-20), yet Astana trimmed the deficit and approaced to 31-30. At halftime, the hosts were up 36-30.
The third quarter was balanced between the two teams, with CSKA keeping a short lead, though it was during the final one that they were able to pull away with double-digit deficits for the first time in the game.
