With four players scoring in double figures Tofas Bursa stunned Darussafaka Dogus 83 – 66 at home for the 16th Round of the Turkish Basketball Super League regular season.

This is the seventh victory for Tofas that is now tied at the eighth spot in the standings together with Gaziantep and Yesilgiresun. Meanwhile, Darussafaka is fourth with a 11 – 5 record, same as Banvit.

David Blatt’s squad (Adrien Moerman 18 points plus 8 rebounds, Brad Wanamaker 16 points, 5 assists)  fell behind 24 – 15 at the first quarter and was never able to catch up with its opponents. Tony Crocker (17 points), Vasilije Micic (16 points), Sammi Mejia (15 points, 8 rebounds) and Kaya Peker (13 points) gave Dacka’s defense cause for alarm with Tofas going to the locker rooms ahead 48 – 37.

While the team from Istanbul was obviously affected by the absences of Scottie Wilbekin and James Anderson, the hosts kept expanding their lead closing the third period 68 – 55 and then cruising to victory.
