Filou Oostende continued with great results as they get a 76-68 win on the road against Lietkabelis and keep themselves in the playoff zone.

Oostende improved to 6-5 in Basketball Champions League Group A and sits at the fourth place which leads to playoffs. They’ve also secured the tiebreaker advantage over Lietkabelis (4-7) and UNET Holon (5-6).

Braian Angola banked 19 points and nine rebounds for the victors while MiKyle McIntosh helped with 17. Shevon Thompson nailed all seven of his shots for 14 points.

On the other side, Paulius Valinskas scored 14 points in addition to Martynas Sajus’ 12 and Zeljko Sakic’s 11 points.

Lietkaeblis held the minimal 17-16 lead after a balanced first quarter and stayed ahead at halftime (39-34). However, the guests took off in the second half with a 21-2 run (55-41) from which the Lithuanian side couldn’t recover. They managed to make a late run and cut the gap to six points (74-68) but it was too late to change the outcome.
