Justin Dentmon stepped up to the occasion and led EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez to an 80-76 home win against San Pablo Burgos in Basketball Champions League.

Dentmon banked 24 points including eight points down the stretch while Ekene Ibekwe followed with 20 and Ousmane Drame with seven points. Drame also grabbed 11 boards.

Pau-Lacq-Orthez improved to 4-7 in Group B and the recent good run keeps them in the race for a playoff spot. Burgos is one of the teams they have to chase down as they now hold a 6-5 record.

For the Spanish team, Earl Clark flirted with a double-double by posing 17 points and nine boards while Thaddus McFadden added 14 points.

The hosts were up 21-18 after a balanced first quarter and put on a strong second quarter to go on the halftime rest with a 47-35 advantage.

However, Burgos came out of the locker room motivated and turned it around grabbing a 66-59 lead early in the final period. It seemed as though they will ride the momentum until the end but Pau-Lacq-Orthez went on a 16-0 run (75-66) which was enough to propel them to victory, although the guests took a final shot at a comeback.
