Led by 15, but Nizhny Novgorod sports strong finish for seventh Basketball Champions League victory.

With both teams coming in at 6-4, Nizhny Novgorod broke the Group C tie with the 82-76 win against Peristeri winmasters on Wednesday.

Michael Jenkins paced the hosts with 19 points. Brandon Brown posted 17 including a clutch three-pointer and three more free throws down the stretch. Ten points each for Darrlyn Willis had ten and Basketball Champions League returnee Terell Parks.

Zoran Lukic’s side dropped a 15-point lead, but improved to 5-1 at the CEC Nagorny and 7-4 overall. Also gained the tiebreaker advantage by completing the two-game sweep.

Nikos Papanikolopoulos’ team fell to 6-5 with the Regular Season Gameday 11 heartbreaking defeat. Yanick Moreira went for 18 points, Steven Gray had 15 and Will Hatcher 14 in Russia.
