Sarunas Vasiliauskas put on an all-around performance as Gaziantep got the home win over Riga in Basketball Champions League

Sarunas Vasiliauskas stepped up and led Gaziantep to an 86-79 home win over VEF Riga in the Basketball Champions League. The sides are at the bottom of Group C, Gaziantep with 3-8 and Riga with a 1-10 record.

Sarunas Vasiliauskas led the charge with 20 points on perfect 6-6 shooting (4-4 from deep), seven rebounds and seven assists. Drew Crawford added 18 and Stevan Jelovac ten points.

For Riga, Arturs Kurucs scored 18 while Lester Medford notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists.

Gaziantep was up 28-25 after ten minutes but it was a tie at 48 at halftime. The game stayed balanced after the break (59-59) but the hosts took over with a 12-2 run which propelled them to victory.
