Peristeri winmasters upped its Basketball Champions League W-L tally to 7-5 with the 72-67 win versus Mornar Bar on Tuesday evening. The visitors were officially eliminated from the playoffs.

Yanick Moreira went for 16 points including a clutch three-point play in the final minute of the Regular Season Round 12 contest. Fellow starters Steven Gray and Panagiotis Vasilopoulos followed with 11 points apiece.

Victory did not clinch a Round of 16 spot for the team coached by Nikos Papanikolopoulos. The Greek club snapped its two-game losing streak in Group C though ahead of next Tuesday’s key home game against Brose Bamberg.

Mihailo Pavicevic’s side was on a two-game winning streak before the trip to Greece and came back from a 17-point deficit, but ultimately fell to 4-8 remaining winless on the road.

Jacob Pullen and Antabia Waller were sidelined, while Derek Needham did not play following his 12 points in the first half. Sead Sehovic poured a game-high 21 points in losing effort.
