San Pablo Burgos jumped to an early lead and never looked back to defeat AEK, 93-76, at the Coliseum Burgos.

Vitor Benite with 23 points behind 8/13 field goals including 4/6 beyond the arc was the key for the hosts. Dragan Apic chipped in with 15 points. Keith Langford’s early exit with a hamstring injury was an unexpected aid for the Spanish club.

Nikos Zisis marked his return to the Queen after 15 years and to the Basketball Champions League following a shorter absence with a team-high 16 points in the Gameday 12 contest. Jerai Grant scored 15.

Joan Penarroya’s team tied Ilias Papatheodorou’s side at 7-5 in Group B and gained the tiebreaker advantage as well. Despite sitting two games over .500, playoffs are not a given for Wednesday’s rivals with a couple of Regular Season tilts left.
