Peristeri winmasters defeated Brose Bamberg, 78-75, on Tuesday. The home win clinched a Round of 16 spot for Nikos Papanikolopoulos’ team and Nizhny Novgorod. Iberostar Tenerife and ERA Nymburk previously secured the other two Basketball Champions League Group C playoffs berths.
Steven Gray poured a game-high 22 points. Yanick Moreira threw in 20 points, six rebounds and a couple of blocks in the Regular Season Gameday 13 affair.
Kameron Taylor posted 19 points, eight rebounds, four dimes and a pair of steals in Greece. Assem Marei and Elias Harris added 13 points each.
The Greek club moved up to 8-5 with Panagiotis Vasilopoulos and Vassilis Xanthopoulos sidelined. Roel Moors’ side dropped to 6-7 and was eliminated with its fourth straight loss on the road.
