Casademont Zaragoza escapes the PalaPentassuglia with a buzzer-beating effort by Dylan Ennis.

First place in Group D was clinched with Telekom Baskets Bonn losing, but Casademont Zaragoza proved capable for one more win, 93-91, versus Happy Casa Brindisi in Italy on Tuesday night.

Porfirio Fisac’s team trailed for most of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 14 contest, but prevailed with a buzzer-beating drive by Dylan Ennis. The 28-year-old guard made his way to 13 points with the winning effort.

D.J. Seeley poured a game-high 16 points alongside his seven rebounds and four assists at the PalaPentassuglia. Tryggvi Hlinason added 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds for a game-high 21 efficiency rating. Dominique Sutton also posted a 21 efficiency rating powered by his team-high 18 points for the Italian outlet.

Both sides featured six double-digit scorers, but the Francesco Vitucci’s squad wrapped up it BCL campaign falling to 5-9. The visitors improved to 10-4 taking a six-game winning streak into the Round of 16.
