Jean-Marc Mwema scored a team-high 17 points as Oostende beat Iberostar Tenerife 75 – 69 at home in Game 2 of the Basketball Champions League Top 16 clash between the two teams to tie the series 1-1.

Tenerife, that had won Game 1 at home, is hosting Game 3. Giorgi Shermadini stood out for the losing side with 19 points while Dani Diez had 13 points and five rebounds. They were the only players in double figures for the Spanish side that wasn’t as effective as needed to take this win on the road.

For Oostende, Mikyle McIntosh had 11 points while Troy Caupain and Simon Byusse dropped 10 points apiece. The Belgian side led from start to finish and held a 14-point advantage in the mid of the third period. Tenerife came at a shooting distance when Shermadini scored for the 59 – 56 early in the fourth period but the hosts proceeded to increase their lead and retain it for good.
