After 19 years of professional basketball, Fran Vazquez seems to have decided to call it quits

Fran Vazquez turned 37 on May 1 and according to Encestando, is expected to announce his decision to retire in the next couple of days.

The Spanish center played has been playing for Casademont Zaragoza since 2018 and this season, he averaged 3.5 points and 3.4 rebounds over 28 games on 13 minutes of playtime.

Vazquez won the 2010 EuroLeague with Barcelona as well as the 2017 Basketball Champions League while he also has three Spanish League, four Spanish Cup, and three Spanish SuperCup trophies under his belt.

It should also be noted that despite being selected by the Orlando Magic in the 2005 NBA Draft as the 11th overall pick, Vazquez decided to pass on the opportunity and stay in Europe. Orlando kept his rights but he ended up never moving to the US.
