Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem inked Deividas Sirvydis to a long-term contract, the Israeli club announced on Saturday.

“We have been following Deividas all season and we have extremely impressed with the level of talent, versatility, and ability to play in both forward positions,” noted the team’s sporting director, Yotam Halperin, “His talent and upside present us many reasons for optimism.”

Sirvydis, 19, was selected 37th in the 2019 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks. However, his NBA rights were immediately traded to the Detroit Pistons. Afterward, he played in five 2019 Summer League games posting 1.8 points per contest.

Back to Rytas Vilnius, the young forward added 16 appearances in 7DAYS EuroCup lifting his overall total to 35, all with the Lithuanian club. His 2019-20 run featured 6.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest. His side failed to make it past the Top 16.

In addition, Sirvydis’ third run in Lithuania’s top-tier division, LKL, was shortened due to the decision to cancel the remaining games in March. He had 5.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per appearance.
