Unicaja Malaga and other ACB teams must respond to an invite issued by the Basketball Champions League up to June 5, according to Diario Sur.

The Spanish club mentioned and the rest of the sides through to the 2019-20 7DAYS EuroCup quarterfinals prior to the decision to cancel the remaining games have a guaranteed spot in the next EuroCup edition.

The report by the Spanish outlet based in Malaga notes that the top-ranked Spanish teams up to ninth-placed Unicaja received an offer. Below that position, any Spanish team entering FIBA’s premier club competition is subject to BCL’s Executive Committee.

Darussafaka Tekfen and Rytas Vilnius already completed their move from the EuroCup to the Basketball Champions League. Other official BCL additions include RETAbet Bilbao and Fortitudo Bologna.
