Jonathan Rousselle inked a one-year contract extension to stay with RETAbet Bilbao, the Spanish club announced on Monday. The 30-year-old French point guard will stick around with the Basketball Champions League added to his side’s yearly schedule.
Bilbao will also be among the 12 teams competing in the final stage of the 2019-20 ACB season. Rousselle helped lift the Basque outlet to a 14-9 record and fifth place prior to the coronavirus pandemic pausing action with 7.6 points, 3.9 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per contest over 22 appearances.
Before joining his current team last summer and debuting in the Spanish league, his career was solely focused in France. Stints with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, Cholet, and Limoges CSP set him up for moving his talents to the ACB.
