Galatasaray Doga Sigorta secures the services of Alex Hamilton for at least one season.

Alex Hamilton joined Galatasaray Doga Sigorta for the 2020-21 season with his contract including a one-year extension option, the Turkish club announced on Friday.

Hamilton, 26, will be debuting in the Basketball Champions League following his 7DAYS EuroCup experience with Maccabi Rishon Lezion this past season. He knocked in 15.8 points per game, also averaged 5.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks per contest.

Coming out of Louisiana Tech, the 26-year-old combo guard launched his pro career through the G League. After his runs with the Santa Cruz Warriors and the Windy City Bulls moved to Juventus Utena in 2018, concluded the 2018-19 season with Maccabi Rishon LeZion and signed a contract extension for the 2019-20 season.

Regarding the Turkish portion of the 2020-21 squad, Galatasaray brought in veteran Baris Ermis, and youngsters Ragip Atar and Eray Aydogan. Caner Erdeniz and Ayberk Olmaz renewed their contracts, while Goksenin Koksal and Yigit Arslan also remained.
