Dimitrios Katsivelis will once again wear the jersey of AEK Athens

Dimitrios Katsivelis will play the upcoming season for AEK Athens with which he penned a one-year deal, the club announced.

The 28-year-old guard has played in Greece his whole ten-year professional career except for one year in Kazahstan with Astana. This will be his second stint with AEK as he wore their jersey back in the 2015-16 campaign.

Katsivelis was a part of the Olympiacos‘ squad that won two straight EuroLeague titles in 202 and 2013. He’s also got two Greek League and one FIBA Intercontinental Cup trophies while he won the Kazahstanian League and Cup in 2017.

This past season, he played for Promitheas averaging 5.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over 33 games split between the Greek League and EuroCup.
