After two waves of testing during the last two days, AEK proved to be COVID-free and got permission to return to practices. The Greek team which is preparing for the Basketball Champions League Final Eight was forced to return to Athens from the city of Ioannina three days ago after a positive COVID case in their roster.

That will be the only absence in the practices, as the player who was found positive remains quarantined.

With Athens being the favorite to host the event at the end of September, even without fans on the stands, coach Ilias Papatheodorou is trying to create a solid unit which aims for the BCL trophy and that’s why getting back to practices after a three days break is very important for the team.
