Two of the four remaining tickets for the Basketball Champions League Regular Season have been sealed, with Keravnos and Tsmoki-Minsk joining the group stage with respective wins on Thursday.
Keravnos – Donar Groningen 60-57
The Cypriots outlasted a tough battle to defeat visiting Donar Groningen and make their first appearance in the BCL Regular Season, led by the heroic effort of Brandon Rozzell, who posted 18 points, four rebounds, as Jesse Hunt (7 points) helped the team get away with the victory with a crucial rebound and a free throw in the final seconds.
Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson had 15 points for the Dutch side.
Tsmoki-Minsk – Neptunas Klaipeda 69-59
Tsmoki-Minsk will be making its BCL appearance in the 2020-21 season after a well-deserved victory against the Lithuanian side. Maksim Salash and Kris Clyburn led the Belarussian team with 18 and 17 points each in the second round of the qualifiers.
On the other end of the court, short-handed Neptunas was paced by Matas Jogela and Norbertas Giga who added 12 and 10 points respectively.
