AEK failed to confirm its favorite status, but Keith Langford is determined to be back for the Basketball Champions League title

ATHENS – Lacking similarities to any season, the conclusion of the 2019-20 Basketball Champions League campaign closely precedes the 2020-21 edition of FIBA’s premier club competition.

The irregularity stemming from the coronavirus impact on sports is a silver lining for Keith Langford. “We have the opportunity to come right back and win,” he suggested following AEK’s loss to Hereda San Pablo Burgos Sunday.

His last 2019-20 Champions League outing produced 11 points behind 5/13 field goals. A tough shooting night in the Final Eight championship game was combined with four rebounds and one assist to his name.

“We just got outplayed. We have to give them credit,” added the 37-year-old American guard, “They made timely shots and played tough defense. Hats off to them.”
