In a game that went down to the wire, Casademont Zaragoza snatched an 86-85 road win over the newcomer Pszczolka Start Lublin in Group D of the Basketball Champions League.

It was 68-66 for the home side early on in the fourth quarter when they put on a 9-0 run to go up by 11 points (77-66), however, Zaragoza got back into the game and tied it at 79 after Jonathan Barreiro’s triple.

Martins Laksa banked his third shot from deep which, followed by Lester Medford’s two free throws, put Lublin up by 84-80 with 11 seconds left but, once again, the Spaniards didn’t let go. Luka Rupnik made three free throws and in Zaragoza’s following offense, dished an assist to DJ Seeley who sealed the fate of Start Lublin with a three-pointer.

Seeley finished the game with six points while Nicolas Brussino was leading the way with 21 points followed by Dylan Ennis with 17 and Jason Thompson with 13. Rupnik scored 11.
