Falco Szombathely never looked back after a strong second quarter to take down Pszczolka Start Lublin, 84-75, at the Savaria Arena Tuesday evening.

Evan Bruinsma went for 21 points, including eight in the key second period of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 3 matchup. Kyan Anderson produced 19 points of his own, Zoltan Perl 14, and Szilard Benke posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double. The fifth double-digit scorer, Devin Searcy, got 12 points.

Despite limited attendance due to coronavirus restrictions, the Szombathely crowd certainly helped the team coached Gasper Okorn. The hosts up 2-0 at the domestic level went to 1-0 in Group D sending their opponents to 0-2.

David Dedek’s side nearly dug its way out of a 12-point hole. Sherron Dorsey-Walker leading the comeback charge resulted in a team-high 17 points. Kamil Laczynski fired in 14 points and Kacper Borowski 12.
