Bilbao Basket announced that the team has brought in Alade Aminu with a two-month contract.

Per RETAbet Bilbao Basket:

Center Alade Aminu (Atlanta, USA, 33 years old, 2.11 meters) has reached an agreement with RETAbet Bilbao Basket to defend the men’s shirt in black for the next two months.

The center with dual US-Nigeria nationality played the 19/20 Basketball Champions League with the Polish team Polski Cukier Torun, averaging 13.3 points and 6.3 rebounds.

The player has extensive European post-military experience in teams such as Élan Chalon and Nanterre in France, Pinar Karsiyaka and Banvit in Turkey or Enel Brindisi in Italy.

With the Nigerian national team, Aminu has played two Olympic Games: London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. In 2015 he won the Gold Medal in the Afrobasket, averaging 8.7 points and 8.4 rebounds in that tournament.

Opinion of Rafa Pueyo, Sports Director of RETAbet Bilbao Basket

“Alade Aminu is a center with a lot of experience in European competitions. He is a player with a good physique who can score both in pick and roll situations and in the low post. He is also very aggressive on the offensive rebound. In defense he has a good reading of the game and is placed in good positions to help his teammates ”.
