Pinar Karsiyaka held off a late comeback bid by Fortitudo Bologna to prevail, 80-69, Tuesday evening at the Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Karsiyaka Sport Hall.
The hosts leading for nearly the entire Basketball Champions League Regular Season rescheduled Gameday 4 tilt got 20 points from Raymar Morgan. Amath M’Baye finished with 15 points and nine assists. Sek Henry and Tony Taylor registered 13 points each.
Experienced center Dario Hunt highlighted the eight-man visiting squad with 18 points. His side went down to 0-4 in Group F and was eliminated from the next round with two games left.
The hosts off two losses in a row improved to 2-2. They will visit Bologna next week aiming to take one more step towards the playoffs featuring 16 teams split into four new groups.
