SIG Strasbourg announced that the club has reached an agreement with Ike Udanoh for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old big played across Europe throughout his career with the latest few stints being in Itlay. He started the 2020-21 season with Trieste, averaging 7.2 points, 4.3 boards and 1.8 assists over six games.
“We were looking for an experienced player whose level of play and the human qualities we already knew. Obviously, it’s a good thing that a player Nicola has already known is available. I coached against him when he started his career in Finland. I have followed him since, especially after his last season in Finland which was excellent. It is an interior that can play on both positions. He will for sure bring us rebounding, intensity, combat and of course his experience. He is an intelligent player and his contribution cannot be quantified by statistics alone. He brings more than that in many situations. If I had to sum it up in one word: a great competitor,” coach Lassi Tuovi said.
