It went down to the last game but Dinamo Sassari made it through to the next round of the Basketball Champions League

Dinamo Sassari clinched a Basketball Champions League playoffs berth by defeating Galatasaray, 92-81, at the Sinan Erdem Dome Wednesday. The Italian side followed Iberostar Tenerife as the second team progressing through Group A.

Energetic point guard Marco Spissu registered 23 points and seven assists in the Regular Season Gameday 11 match. Lithuanian Eimantas Bendzius posted a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double. Stefano Gentile added 15 points off 6/7 field goals.

On the opposite end, Daryl Macon put up 23 points and R.J. Hunter followed for the Istanbul club with 16 points.

The team coached by Gianmarco Pozzecco up 4-2 will move on to the next round consisting of the 16 advancing clubs split into four new groups. A poor 1-5 tally illustrates the first BCL season for the Turkish side.
