Nikos Gkikas got injured in his ankle.

AEK Athens guard Nikos Gkikas suffered tears on multiple ligaments of his left ankle joint, the team announced. The player got injured in the Greek League game of his team against Ionikos Nikaia, Saturday (23/1).

Gkikas is expected to be out for more than one month and will thus miss a number of Greek League games along with the Greek Cup tournament that is scheduled to be c0ncluded on February 14.

In the 2020-21 so far, Gkikas has been averaging 6.2 points, 5.0 assists and 1.2 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League plus 6.4 points, 2.0 assists and 1.7 rebounds in the Greek League.
