Pinar Karsiyaka in an impressive display became the final team clinching a Basketball Champions League playoffs berth and eliminated RETABet Bilbao with the home win, 85-76, Wednesday.
Amath M’Baye dialed in five triples in his 23-point effort. Raymar Morgan added on his superb 2020-21 campaign packing 20 points in the Regular season Gameday 12 affair.
The team coached by Alex Mumbru needing to prevail by a margin of ten points or more conceded a 12-0 run in the second period and fell into a double-digit hole. The deficit actually bigger due to the loss, 81-72, in the reverse fixture kept growing until the game was effectively done. Alex Reyes was the bright spot with 4/4 from beyond the arc and a team-high 14 points at the Karsiyaka Arena.
Ufuk Sarica’s side finished Group F at 4-2 ranking second and pushing its opponents down to 2-4.
