Johnny O’Bryant joins one of the Basketball Champions League contenders.

Turk Telekom signed forward/center Johnny O’Bryant, the Turkish club announced. O’Bryant last played with Crvena Zvezda before requesting to terminate his contract with the team.

O’Bryant played 16 EuroLeague games with Crvena Zvezda, averaging 11.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20:41 minutes. In ABA League, the American big man had 10.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.7 minutes in seven matches.

With Turk Telekom, O’Bryant will debut in the Basketball Champions League while joining fellow former NBAers Sam Dekker and Kyle Wiltjer. The Turkish team, thatis considered one of the top contenders for the title, will have its first playoffs game in March 2 vs. SIG Strasbourg.
