AEK Athens asked for the postponement of its Basketball Champions League Round of 16 opener against Nizhny Novgorod Wednesday (3/3) after a third member of the team tested positive for coronavirus Sunday (28/2).

All practices and team activities of AEK have been suspended as has the Greek League game against Promitheas Patras. The members of the Greek club and 2018 Basketball Champions League trophy holder will test again Monday (1/3).

AEK was already facing a problem with center Yanick Moreira who is sidelined with an ankle injury.
