Casademont Zaragoza played impressive defense and it led to some easy easy points which went a long way in getting the 77-65 home win against Brose Bamberg in the Basketball Champions League.

Elias Harris led the way with 17 points while Dylan Ennis scored 15, Robin Benzing 13 and Jonathan Barreiro ten points.

Jacob Wiley had only two points but also grabbed 11 boards. For Brose, David Kravish logged 17 and Bennet Hundt 11 points.

The Spaniards scored 21 points from turnovers and 15 in the fast break compared to Brose’s eight and four respectively. The Bench of the victors was also outscoring the opposing with 40-31.

All those combined and the final result doesn’t come off as a surprise. It was a close game at halftime (33-31) but Zaragoza had the upper hand and they used it in the third quarter to go ahead 54-43. That run ended up deciding the outcome as Brose just couldn’t recover without a proper solution on offense and getting outran on the other side.
