Kasey Shepherd has been playing some of his best basketball recently and his latest performance came in the convincing 96-82 home win over Turk Telekom.

The 26-year-old American guard banked in eight three-pointers (and out of nine attempts at that) on his way to impressive game-high 32 points.

Ivan Strebkov added 14 and Anton Astapkovich 12 points. On the opposing side, Muhammed Baygul scored 16, Sam Dekker, Nick Johnson, and Johnny O’Bryant 12 points each.

Shepherd made a heavy difference in this game and he did it throughout the whole game. Nizhny got some easy points early on and started with a 10-0 run which increased to a 16-point margin at halftime (52-36) and there was no turning back.

Turk Telekom couldn’t find an answer for the gamesome Shepherd and Nizhny’s bench which outscored Turk Telekom’s 44-27 and made sure that there was no ‘down phase’ in the Russians’ game.

Nizhny has now improved to a perfect 3-0 record in Group K and is on the verge of securing a spot in the Final Eight Tournament while Turk Telekom holds a 1-3 record. Nizhny also won the first clash of these two squads with 84-71.
