Turk Telekom removed AEK from the Basketball Champions League Final 8 hunt taking down the Greek club, 78-66, on Wednesday.

Kyle Wiltjer made 8/12 field goals for a game-high 24 points. His solid contribution also included six rebounds and three assists. Nick Johnson and Can Korkmaz generated ten points apiece.

Burak Goren’s side was facing elimination but instead outrebounded the Queen, 44-29, and improved to 2-3. AEK is also 2-3 but unfavorable tiebreakers permit the Turkish outlet and SIG Strasbourg to face each other for a Final 8 berth next week in France.

Kingsley Moses scored a team-high 18 points in the Round of 16 Gameday 5 Group K affair. An early exit for Matt Lojeski due to injury certainly did not help Ilias Papatheodorou at the Ankara Arena. Marcus Slaughter was already sidelined alongside Nikos Gkikas and Nikos Rogkavopoulos.
