A dominating fourth quarter earns SIG Strasbourg a spot in the Basketball Champions League Final 8

SIG Strasbourg secured a huge win, 91-81, over Turk Telekom on Wednesday to clinch a Basketball Champions League Final 8 berth.

Bonzie Colson scored a game-high 23 points. Czech Jaromír Bohacik finished with 21 points to his name. Brandon Jefferson combined his 13 points with a game-high six assists.

Lassi Tuovi’s side controlled the Round of 16 Gameday 6 meeting in the fourth period after 13 lead changes initially making out a back-and-forth affair through the first 30 minutes. Outscoring Turk Telekom, 23-12, in the last quarter was the difference in the do-or-die match.

On to Burak Goren’s side, Sam Dekker had 21 points and Kyle Wiltjer put up 20 points. However, the loss at Rhenus Sport left the visitors out of the Final 8.

The winning team improving to 3-3 and forcing the team based in Ankara to 2-4, flew the remaining Group K ticket to France.
