Dinamo Sassari finally gets off the mark in its last chance

Well late in terms of progressing to the Basketball Champions League, Dinamo Sassari took down shorthanded Brose Bamberg, 83-72, on Thursday.

Lithuanian forward Eimantas Bendzius banked a game-high 22 points in the pushed back Round of 16 Gameday 4 contest held at PalaSerradimigni. Ethan Happ had 16 points and Filip Kruslin put up 14 points, while Jason Burnell ended up with eight points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and three steals producing a game-high efficiency rating of 27.

Bamberg featuring plenty of youngsters at Sassari was highlighted by 22-year Mateo Seric and his team-high 16 points.

The hosts finished their Group L run at 1-5 forcing the team coached by Johan Roijakkers to 2-4. Both sides were already out of Final 8 hopes.
